Rebecca Yang is our new VP of Engineering
We're excited to welcome Rebecca Yang as our new VP of Engineering!
Rebecca previously served as VP of Product Engineering at Marchex, where she oversaw development of a phone call and text messaging-based intelligence platform, leading a team of engineers, UX designers, and product managers. Earlier, she joined Marchex through the acquisition of Sonar, a business texting startup, an early engineering hire who helped scale the company from MVP.
Now, she'll lead both organization and execution across Clearbit engineering.
Rebecca will guide hiring, career development, team structure, and communication. In addition, she'll oversee the processes, initiatives, and teams that drive Clearbit’s product development forward day-to-day.
"I'm thrilled to have Rebecca join us!" shares Harlow Ward, our CTO. "I appreciate her perspective on building engineering teams at this stage, and we welcome her approach to balancing predictability and agility in an evolving environment. We're still early in our journey and Rebecca's experience will be a superpower."
With Rebecca on board, expect a continued development of Clearbit as a unified platform, an additional investment in partnerships, and a heightened focus on customer-centricity with technical solutions both robust and easy to use.
What led Rebecca to Clearbit?
"I started coding in middle school where I got deep into True BASIC in my school's computer lab," Rebecca tells us. "I've worn many hats through the years and I'm delighted to join the Clearbit team. I can't wait to work with everyone through this next period of growth."
When she's not explaining the value of Rails, snacking on seaweed, or hanging out with Olive Birdie, her golden retriever lab mix, Rebecca's a big fan of VR fitness: "You can get a killer workout in 30 minutes and barely notice the time go by. It's a blast."
Welcome, Rebecca! We're all so happy you're here.
